Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked QuestionsIs my vote anonymous?
Yes. We confirm that you voted, but we never reveal how you voted. Poll results are always reported in aggregate — for example "65% support X" — never linked to individual users.
Is Decide Pakistan connected to the government?
No. Decide Pakistan is completely independent. We are not affiliated with the Government of Pakistan, any government ministry, or any political party. We accept no government funding.
Will my CNIC data be shared?
Never. Your CNIC number is used only for identity verification purposes. It is stored encrypted and is never shared with any third party, including government agencies, unless compelled by a valid Pakistani court order.
Who runs this platform?
Decide Pakistan is run by a Pakistani civic tech team committed to neutral, transparent public opinion. We believe informed citizens make a better democracy.
How are poll questions chosen?
Poll questions are created by our editorial team and through citizen proposals. Every question is reviewed for neutrality — we ensure no question is phrased to lead respondents toward a particular answer. Citizens can also propose polls through the Proposals section.
Can I propose a poll?
Yes! Go to the Proposals section, submit your idea, and if it receives enough community support it will be reviewed by our editorial team. Approved proposals go live as official polls.
How do I delete my account?
Go to My Account → Edit Profile and use the account deletion option. All your personal data will be removed within 30 days.
Are results representative of all Pakistanis?
Our results represent the opinion of Decide Pakistan users who voted on a given poll. We do not claim our results are statistically representative of all Pakistanis. However, we display demographic breakdowns (province, gender, age) to help you understand who voted.
